Baby wear
A massive congratulations to my little brother and his wife on the birth of their first child yesterday. I have been making a few baby garments over the summer for her arrival. Have started a blanket, though that is still in progress, and it may not be ready for when I go and visit. All are newborn size so I hope they fit!
Wrap baby cardigan, pattern is a ravelry download. Based the hat loosely on this pattern and the booties on this pattern. I used about 150g Patons smoothie yarn in pastel mix and 4mm needles.

Scarlett wearing it 3/4/2014 6 months old.
This owl pattern is from garnstudio. Took about an hour to make with dk oddments and a 3.5mm hook.
This flower sweater pattern is from Rowan yarns. I used just under 100g dk in lilac and 4mm needles.

This Feather and Fan cardigan is from Lion brand (need to join to download patterns.) I used about 100g of hot pink dk and 4mm needles. Hat pattern is the same as the I posted above, though did 2 repeats of the feather and fan pattern and added crocheted chained ties.

This crochet dress is a ravelry download and the pattern was difficult to follow so added my own interpretation. I used 2 strands of 100% 2ply cotton and 2 ply boucle (about 125g) in coral on a 1.75mm hook. The Mary Jane matching shoes were from a pattern I found on pinterest. I used a silver ribbon because I couldn't find a matching colour in the shop I went to! I think this will fit her next summer.
This is a crochet dress that I modified into a cardigan by ad-libbing the sleeves. Made a matching pair of booties from this pattern. Not too keen on seamed booties as they tend to be bulky (when I make them!) but couldn't find a seamless alternative at that time. Used just under 100g mid pink dk yarn and a 3.50mm hook.
