Yesterday I picked up a crochet hook, 4 years later! Made this cotton phonecase/polisher in less than an hour. My son said Wow Mum you’re knitting again. I replied, 'no, crocheting.'

Single crochet 10 on the row, turn and work 9 In the round.

1 rounds single crochet.

10 rounds half double crochet.

I round slip stitch under previous rounds chain.

You should have 19 sts + the first chain as a stitch on each round.

Cleared out a load

Noticed how hot the place was becoming for my lad and the dog, so I had a clear out of a load of items I've made with hot quality fibres. An elderly lady in the countryside said they would keep a load in their attic to keep their house warmer this winter, to cut down on extortionate heating bills for the elderly. Wasn't it Tesco's motto on their ads - "every little matters"

Birthday gift for Mum

I have had this in a bag in my stash cupboard for over a year! Today, I sewed the sleeves and added the buttons today. I used just over 2 balls of King Cole Splash in rose hues with 2 balls Teddy Avril in dark rust on 4mm needles. I made it in reverse stocking stitch instead of garter stitch as the pattern called for.

Knee Caps No. 209

This is my prototype from a tweaked pattern from the WWII collection. I have made these in aran yarns in grape 54g and black 49g on 5mm needles. They are 44cm in length. I am waiting for some clear shirring elastic to arrive to finish the cuffs.   I am hoping they help reduce my mum's osteo-arthritic pain which is exacerbated when it's cold.

Made another pair of these in hot pink angora on 3mm needles. I weaved shirring elastic to keep one in place. I put them on sometimes to keep off the chills after walking in the evening.

Birthday gift - hooded body warmer

I have made this for my niece, who will be 4 this month. I used 3 balls of Hayfield Bonus Chunky in navy and 1 in red on a 6mm hook. I based the sizing on this pattern. I did originally make sleeves, but found them too bulky which would make it uncomfortable to wear, so decided on sleeveless. I hope she likes it...

Ribbed stripe sweater

I based this loosely on Drops Design Sentinel. I used just under 200g of both Ice yarns wool twist in black and grey and grey and black on 4mm needles. I didn't know if it would work out okay and it has...I started this back in April and picked it back up this week to complete.
