Another Yoke sweater

I heavily modified this pattern. I started from the top and worked downwards on 4mm needles with some leftover yarn from my stash and the main blue is Teddy Avril dk. Took just over a week to complete.

First dog jumper

Saw this pattern and thought I would give it a go... I used 5mm needles and used the middle size in the pattern for the chest size and the largest for the length. I used James Brett Rustic Aran in black fleck and and Robin Aran with wool in cream. It took 12 hours to complete. I am quite happy with the result.. I wonder if he will see this as his new cue for walks come the colder weather...

Norwegian style sweater

Bought some different pink Teddy Avril dk yarns and found this pattern I had printed out last year but hadn't got around to making for me...I used 4.5mm needles and made the L size. I started it on June 1st and finished it on the 8th.. so it was a quick knit for me and am pleased with the fit and finish.

Bookmarks

Made these quick bookmarks for some of the people - the ones that impacted on me the most on the course I recently completed - last Wednesday; 2nd year complete, 1 year left!!! I used a tablemat centre from an old crochet monthly, added a 30 chain tail, 10 3dc in each chain to get the twist that hangs out of the book and dc back to the ch start. Starched them with spray starch and a hot iron to stiffen and flatten them. The people I gave them to appreciated them. I used a 1.75mm hook and different mercerized crochet cottons.

Rib side raglan sweater

Treated myself to 600g Patons smoothie dk yarn in a pastel-multi shade, then hunted for a suitable pattern. I used 4mm needles rather than 3mm and this knitted up quickly as the yarn is easy to knit. I like the way the yarn patterns randomly. Made the collar longer than the pattern suggests.

Petrol blue sweater

Designed this one myself. It has been on my needles since last September as it was my inbetween piece - the one I work on when deciding what next project to start on. I used 4.5mm needles and just under 500g of Woolcraft dk in petrol blue. The stitch is rice stitch - one row knit, 2nd row K1, P1, looks like a rib pattern on the reverse. It was originally going to have material epaulettes on the shoulders and as I couldn't find a suitable piece of matching material decided against it.

Made some matching socks with the left over yarn on 4mm needles, though made them shorter than the pattern.

Black and white zigzag jacket

Made this jacket using cream and black aran wool and a 5mm hook. Took about a week. I modified the pattern  on the sleeves and didn't use the loop at the back on each row so it gave a different finish. I do like the finished piece.
