Sisters birthday gifts

My sister has just messaged me thank you for the fabulous cardi and bag. Happy birthday to her!

Pattern. Yarn was Aldi's So Crafty Fancy Yarn Autumn Twisted. I used 11.5 balls and size 6mm needles. I made this last September!

Pattern. This yarn is Aldi's So Crafty Fancy Yarn Pale Gold Glimmer, 3.5 balls used.  I used a 3mm hook. Started this on Thursday night and finished it off on Friday morning. I have made a thinner strap than the pattern suggests.

Lace Panel Jacket.

I love the yarn and I love the colour. I don't like the lace pattern up the fronts though, so if I use this pattern again, would leave those off. I used 600g Ice Yarn angora in phosphoric pink using 2 threads together and 6.5mm needles so my gauge was 15st x 18 rows = 10cm so narrower than the pattern. I started this 2 weeks ago and finished it yesterday. It took half a day to make a sleeve.

Update

I have just logged into my Ravelry page and discovered I have not posted or made anything since January 2016. I am really surprised that it has been over a year since I made anything, I don't know where the time has disappeared to!

I have obtained some new yarns and am in the process of making one project and deciding on other projects.

I have a board on Pinterest that has all my makes on it and have started a new board diabetes menu as my son was diagnosed with Type 1 in December which has meant restructuring his diet and adapting to his insulin regime. I have been thinking about starting a new blog pertaining to diabetes and including the baking recipes I am modifying so they have the least amount of naturally occurring sugars. He has decided against artifical sweeteners as they contain polyols and polymers.
