Rug for my hall.

I've been working on this for 5 days on and off. I've used a 8mm hook. Yarn 950g Wayfarer in Foxglove (FG) and 400g James Brett Chunky Marble in pinks (PK)doubled with 200g Teddy Avril dk in fushcia.

I measure the space and wanted 150cm x 110cm. I chained 140 sts then decided on random mirrored block stripes in Double Crochet (DC) for a tighter stitch.

Stripes
FG 12 rows
PK 8 rows
FG 6 rows
PK 4 rows
FG 14 rows
PK 12 rows
FG 7 rows.
Pick up 140 DC from chain edge and start from PK 8 rows to mirror the stripes.

Socks

I've been trying to make perfect fit socks with left over 100g balls of yarn. Have used 2 patterns - one from garnstudio, then one from another site and made my own fit. (See below for patterns). I find hand knitted socks much more cushioned and comfortable for walking.

Patterns - Quick and Chunky
Garnstudio Woolies pattern
My pattern. Cast on 40 sts on 4mm. K1, P1 2 rounds, SS 30 rows, make heel as for quick and chunky socks pattern. SS 30 rows, make toe as for Garnstudio Woolies pattern,

Crochet Chain Scarves

Found this pattern on Pinterest and modified it slightly to how long I wanted the chains. Original pattern. Yarns used, left over dk yarns. Hook size 4mm.

Original pattern

Purple mohair long coat

I made this over Christmas and it made me sneeze a lot when I was making it. It is a really warm knit.
Yarn: Ankhara Mohair Blend in purple haze. Needles 6mm. Pattern.
This picture doesn't do it justice.

Body warmer shell

I made this thin wrap to wear under a jacket as a layer when out walking.
Yarn is two 3 ply used together - boucle random print and Bougainvillea slub in purple. Hook size, 3 mm.
It's based on this pattern,  though I made the front sides longer to drape under my bodywarmer.

Sweater for my love

I made this last November for my son. I didn't have a pattern but decided to make a top down, yoked raglan sweater.
Yarn Hayfield Bonus Buzz - random turquoise, petrol and biege - used just under 400g. Needles 4mm.

Purple Waist length Cardigan

I made this based on the pattern for the red hoodie, though modified it heavily. I unpicked an old jacket I hadn't worn for a while. I've been wearing this one a lot as it's warm and I love the colour.
Yarn - James Brett Rio with wool in purple mix. Needles 5mm.

Red Hoodie

I made this one last year and wear it often as the yarn is really comfortable. It is a top down knit, so it started from the hood.
Yarn: Hayfield Bonus Aran Tweed, Strawberry fleck. Needles 5mm.
Link to pattern.

Oversized Jacket

I made this last year and have since unpicked it as it turned out far too big.
Yarn: Wendy Aran with wool in grape. Used just under 800g. Needles 5mm
