Another jacket

I completed this jacket the night before last and hung it on the stairs and when I got up my son had gone to college in it... I used 800g of Patons Smoothie yarn and 4.5mm needles. It took me 7 days as I had to redo the first sleeve as it was too narrow, so adjusted the increases. The pattern can be found here . I can't seem to find light grey wool at my usual suppliers, so used a darker one.
Here he is modelling it. He seems happy with it. :)

Old stuff

I was mooching about in my airing cupboard and looked in the toybox that was mine when I was a kid, which my son inherited and found some stuff I made when he was little - what a surprise as I had forgotten I had these things. :)
Teletubbies sweater - 1997,
We watched the first ever programme together and his favorite was Dipsy.
Dougal from the Magic Roundabout - made in 1996
My son already had a Noddy so I made him Big Ears - 1996
Barney - made in 1996

I made all of these Tots TV dolls for his Christmas in 1996. He was Tots TV crazy. My son wasn't even 2 years old on this pic and I had made the Paddington Bear just before.

Yoke sweater.

I finished this sweater last night. It is the first yoke sweater I have made. It was intended for my son as he picked out the pattern, though it is much to big for him, so will give to my Dad as a birthday present in April - at least that's another present sorted. I used 650g black fleck and 150g cream of Patons Wool Blend Aran. It contains 63% new wool so needs washing on cold so that it doesn't shrink. The only seems are on the armpit as it was completed on 4 and 5 mm circular and double pointed needles. I really like not having to hand sew.
So I gave it to my dad and here he is modelling it - perfect fit!

Here is the pattern.. I didn't add the design on the sleeves and made the neck shorter.
