V-Stitch Cushion Covers

I finished these yesterday and I am happy with the result. I used a 4mm hook. They are 44 cm (17 inches) V-stitch squares. I added 16cm purple zips for the closure that I purchased online. There are 13 rounds on each square with a zig zag (dc, 2 chain) join.

I used purples, lilac and orchid dk yarns from my stash:
200g Hayfield Bonus DK - dark purple (rounds 5 and 13)
150g Hobbycraft Value DK - mid purple (round 9)
150g Women's Institute Premium Acrylic - Purple grey (round 11)
300g Patons Fab - purple (rounds 4, 8, 12)
25g Robin DK - lilac/purple/white (round 1)
75g Teddy Baby Softspun DK - lilac (round 6)
75g Teddy Baby Softspun DK - orchid (round 7)
100g Teddy Vanguard - dark lilac (rounds 3, 10)
30g unbanded dk - bright purple (round 2)

V-stitch chevron angora throw

I finished this today. I had my first delivery from iceyarns.com last Thursday. I used 800g (500m per ball) of Angora Active in rainbow and a 3mm hook. I didn't have a pattern! It turns out that it is king size though I have made it to snuggle in the lounge. I highly recommend this yarn as it's really soft and warm so have ordered some in a blue mix as my son has requested one for his room. I'm going to have a snuggly winter for sure!

Scarlett's birthday presents

I used yarn from my stash to make a Peppa pig birthday for my 2 year old niece. I made the sweater for age 3-4. I used a pattern from a woman's weekly mag for the sizing on 4mm needles and found the Peppa graph on Pinterest. It was exciting watching Scarlett open her gift.

I found the pattern for the Peppa pig toy on pinterest, I used 3mm needles and dk yarn from my stash. I found the sewing up fiddly as I haven't made soft toys for a long time.

Rainbow granny throw

I had quite a lot of left over yarn from my last project so crocheted up some 7-round grannies and joined with a dc zigzag. Used a 3mm hook.

Rainbow coverup

I was sorting through my yarn stash and came up with rainbow colours to make this bright jacket for my Mum's birthday. I did a yoke style and decided on squares for the shoulders. I used a 3mm hook and different dk yarn brands. She was really pleased with it and put it on straight away!
