Hexagon blanket/throw

I finished this today - started the motifs back in December and it's taken around a week to attach them altogether using double dcs from the reverse side, which gives extra width to the finished product. This is the motif I used.

I made 3 different order motifs and used a 3.5 mm hook and
85g yellow (teddy babysoft dk)
300g dark purple (robin dk)
400g purple/white mix (robin dk)
250g plum (vantage dk)
300g lilac (teddy babysoft dk)

I found the hexagon graph paper here to work out my design

 In progress:
I need to get some more purple mix to make 16 half hexs and edge the whole thing.

Eldest niece's birthday hood jacket

Just finished this jacket for my eldest niece. I used 6, 50g balls of Lana Grossa Basics Tiramisu print yarn on 9mm circular needles and 4 toggles. I made the 8-10 size.  I didn't add the pockets because they didn't look right when I had pinned them on, though I did add a tassel to the hood.

Crocheted Christmas

I spent a fortnight before Christmas hooking away with oddments of dk yarns I had. I made  14 hats, 3 sets full finger gloves, 2 sets mittens, 2 sets fingerless mittens, 4 scarves, 3 sets slippers, 1 small bag, 2 bank card purses, 1 pair hexagon boots, 1 Christmas stocking, 1 baby cardigan, 1 teddy bear.... so I didn't do the Christmas shop madness this year... how peaceful and enjoyable not being caught up in all that madness...

Crochet bag, corsage and cape

I made these for me for my sister's wedding at the start of November 2012. I used an old crochet monthly table round for the the cape, but didn't make it round and I used a mercerised cotton that I sourced a few years ago online which is 3ply and a 2mm hook for each item. For  the corsage and bag, I added a silver lurex thread for a bit of a shine.

Hooded Jackets

I have made a few of these hoodies now.
This one is made with James Brett Aran Rustic in black. I used 5mm needles and about 825g of yarn so had to purchase a 3rd ball as it comes in 400g balls. Pattern can be found here. http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/us/pattern.php?id=4252&lang=us

This one use James Brett Marble Chunky about 850g in pinks on 6mm needles. Pattern is here - http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/en/pattern.php?id=4476&lang=en. I didn't add the flounce at the bottom and changed the stitch on the top part and hood.

I treated myself to this yarn with my Christmas money. It is Lana Grossa Basics Tiramisu print yarn in red/pink/green/lilac/light green and is supersoft. I am using this as a dressing gown/wrap as it is so comfy. I used 11 50g balls and one for a belt, on 8mm needles. Very quick to knit.
